Nick Van Lente grew up in Fort Worth and Austin, Texas, and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin, where he studied Liberal Arts Honors, International Relations, and Classics. He currently works as a Fellowship Coordinator in the Division of Cardiology at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus and will begin graduate studies in the near future. His interests include contemporary art, music, literature, and the ways people use stories to make sense of their lives. When he's not writing, he can usually be found planning his next trip, wandering through a museum, taking a long hike with a new album, going to the gym, skiing, painting, experimenting in the kitchen, making another "last" cup of coffee, or complaining about something (inevitably).
